Gleason & Associates was started in Sept. 1996 by Joel Gleason, AAI. At the time Joel had worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years. He started his own brokerage firm with a focus on the client and the responsibility of helping protect what the client values most.
Born and raised in the D.C. area and having spent the last 39 years as an independent agent, Joel has learned that insurance takes more than just selling. It takes a commitment to the client, an understanding that getting the job done, and the client protected is the most important part. 18 years ago Joel started Gleason & Associates with the intent on doing just that. Since then we have acquired subsidiaries, grown to nearly triple our original size and now have licenses and contracts with 10 separate insurance companies.
